Yesterday we received feedback on our previous Mock exams. Initially when my teacher marked it I scored 45 marks which gave me an A* but now that it has been moderated by the head of media department my mark has been reduced to 39/50. I was impressed by my essay on representation of women in media because unlike the essays I wrote last year, I included theories to explain my points and I analysed examples a little bit more. However, there is always room for improvement and I will be implementing the feedback given to me by the moderator in my upcoming mock exams. She advised me to give specific examples and analyse historic and future prospects regarding the topic. My writing skills were good according to her feedback and my essay was well structured therefore I don't necessarily need to change it but slight improvements can increase my grade. Putting her advice into practice and with my knowledge from the previous mock, I will hopefully write a better essay this mock and get better grades.
